Gem McHaffey is a New York based documentary filmmaker. She has an extensive background in archival research, development, production, and collaborative storytelling. Her work has appeared on PBS American Experience and PBS Reel South.

Gem holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Religion from Wesleyan University. She is originally from Cambridge, MA and a proud member of the Archival Producers Alliance and the Documentary Producers Alliance.
